Description

A chinon straight kurta with aari floral bouquets on the sleeves and a contrast-faced neckline edged in kardana, paired with a semi organza dupatta in a contrasting shade. The embroidery swaps colours between the two pieces.

Sleeve Embroidery — Aari floral clusters with leaf sprays at the upper sleeve and cuff.
Neckline — A round neck with a front slit, faced in contrast and edged in kardana.
Scalloped Dupatta — Contrast semi organza with a scalloped edge and tassel drops.
Dupatta Bouquets — Aari florals in the kurta's shade scattered across the dupatta.
Soft Sheen Ground — Chinon carries a soft sheen in direct light.

Stylist Tip

Jewellery: Gold or kundan jhumkas pick up the kardana at the neckline in every colourway; skip a necklace, since the faced neckline is the focal point.
Dupatta drape: Wear it over one shoulder so the scalloped edge and hem drops fall the full length; drape both shoulders for a more formal look.
Colour by occasion: Choose the deeper pairs (Mauve, Maroon, Dark Navy, Bottle Green) for evening and the lighter ones (Sage Green, Lime Yellow, Light Grey) for daytime.

Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery for unworn, unused items in original condition with tags attached. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.

What size should I order?

Can I get it made to my measurements?

Yes. Choose Send Body Measurements when you order. There's no extra charge, and made-to-measure orders are returnable like any other order.

Is the dupatta included?

Yes. The set includes the chinon kurta, Indian crepe salwar and the semi organza dupatta with a scalloped border and tassel drops.

Can I change the bottom style?

Yes. The bottom can be made as salwar, pants or palazzo; add your choice in the fit preferences box when you order.

Can I order it in a different colour?

Yes. It's available in 11 colours; choose yours from the colour options.

Will I pay customs on an international order?

No. International orders ship with duties prepaid, so there's nothing to pay on delivery.

About the Craft

Aari embroidery is worked with a fine hooked needle that pulls the thread through the fabric in a chain stitch, which lets it fill large areas with dense, flowing lines. Kardana is embellishment work in which small beads, sequins or stones are stitched onto the fabric to pick out the lines of the design.

Aari builds dense floral bouquet clusters with leaf sprays across the sleeves, while kardana traces the neckline trim and picks out the floral centres in fine linear detail.

Each piece is made with custom work, so there may be subtle differences from one piece to the next.
