Description

A 42-inch red coat with a mandarin collar and fabric-covered buttons, worked all over in Kashmiri Aari embroidery and made in art raw silk, pure wool, pure raw silk or silk velvet.

All-over florals — Coral, marigold, yellow and brown blooms with olive leaves cover the coat.
Embroidered placket — A floral border runs down the front between the covered buttons.
Mandarin collar — A low band collar, embroidered to match, sits close at the neck.
Lined, with pockets — Fully lined inside, with a pocket on each side.
Knee length — Falls about 42 inches from the shoulder, ending around the knee.

Over a saree or dress: Wear it open over a plain ivory saree or a black ankle-length dress so the all-over embroidery stays the focus.
Earrings only: The mandarin collar is embroidered, so keep to small studs and skip the necklace.
Footwear: Under a coat this long, block heels or pointed closed flats keep the line clean from collar to hem.
