A salwar suit with a dense Kashmiri aari jaal running the full length of the front shirt — diamond lattice filled with gold and amber floral butis, thickening at the hem and concentrating into layered floral medallions at the neckline. The embroidery is worked at a density where the thread visibly raises off the surface, giving the cloth a dimensional quality that flat prints cannot replicate.
